From a home studio to a full factory floor — one system, the whole way
ModaFlow was built in Michigan by an operations specialist and a fashion designer who married each other before they ever built a company together.
The origin story
ModaFlow started with two very different skill sets under one roof.
Rameez Patel is an operations specialist — the person who thinks in systems, bottlenecks, and process. Mahnoor Rameez Patel is a fashion designer, trained in the UK, who'd already designed and sold custom clothing to customers internationally before ModaFlow existed. They didn't set out to build software. They set out to build Mahnoor's brand — and ran straight into the same wall every fashion business eventually hits: the creative side scales fine, but the operational side doesn't scale itself.
Design work doesn't stay small forever. A home studio placing custom orders one at a time eventually needs real production planning. A growing label outsourcing to a few tailors eventually needs vendor management it can actually track. A brand running its own factory floor eventually needs the same financial and inventory discipline a factory owner would demand from any other line of business. Every fashion software Rameez and Mahnoor tried was built for one end of that journey or the other — bespoke tools for the home studio, enterprise ERPs for the factory — never a single system that could carry a business through the whole arc.
That's what ModaFlow is: an operations specialist's discipline, married to a fashion designer's actual working knowledge of the craft, built into one platform that scales with a business from its first sales order to a mid-size factory running full production.
The vision
A business shouldn't have to change software as it grows. A designer working alone from a spare room and a brand running a mid-size factory are solving different-scale versions of the same problem — and both deserve a system built with the same operational discipline behind it. ModaFlow is built to carry a fashion business through every stage of that growth, not just the stage it's in on day one.
The three stages ModaFlow is built for
Home studio
One or two people, custom orders, smart outsourcing instead of an in-house team.
Growing brand
Real production runs, multiple vendors, a small team, the first physical or online storefront.
Mid-size factory
Full production floor, multi-location retail, and the financial and inventory discipline a factory-scale operation actually needs.
The company
ModaFlow, a Michigan LLC, headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Sold worldwide, with initial focus on the USA, UK, Pakistan, and UAE.
